[Recycling Log] Audiophile Mr. Lam from Sham Shui Po Parts with Prized Possessions! Priscilla Chan's "Priscilla's Love"
Yesterday afternoon,we at "9Box Music" received a WhatsApp inquiry from Mr. Lam in Sham Shui Po. Mr. Lam is a seasoned audio enthusiast who enjoys tube amplifiers and listening to various music genres. During our conversation,we learned that Mr. Lam recently took a liking to a new, upgraded amplifier set costing over ten thousand dollars. To "recover" some funds, and because his musical taste has shifted to classical and jazz in recent years,he decided to sell off his 80s Cantonese pop vinyl records that he bought when he was younger and now rarely listens to.
After scheduling an appointment,we went directly to his home to inspect the records. Among the two main records Mr. Lam brought out were classic albums by Priscilla Chan,a diva of the 1980s Hong Kong pop music scene: "Priscilla's Love" and "Forever Friends."

The moment we saw "Priscilla's Love," it brought back many memories for music fans. On the cover,Priscilla Chan wears a distinctive black hat, exuding elegance; the back cover shows her holding a suitcase,a very thoughtful design. Mr. Lam said he bought this album as soon as it was released, and he still remembers the lyrics to "Silly Girl" (Silly Girl) to this day. Looking at "Forever Friends," the sleeve was also kept in excellent condition.

As an experienced Vinyl Record Buyback team in Hong Kong,we immediately used a flashlight to meticulously inspect the records. Mr. Lam,being an audiophile, naturally had high standards for record maintenance. Although the outer sleeves of both records had some normal friction marks on the corners, there were no tears or water stains. Upon pulling out the records, the vinyl surfaces were still lustrous and glossy, with only a very few, barely visible paper scuffs. There were no deep scratches, and when played on a turntable, there was minimal crackling, indicating that the sound quality was still superb.
Following international record grading standards,we thoroughly explained the condition of these two records and the current market supply and demand to Mr. Lam. Original vinyl records by Cantonese female singers consistently have stable demand in the second-hand market, with those in good condition being even more sought after. Ultimately,we offered a recycling price higher than that of typical second-hand shops. Mr. Lam felt the price was fair and the entire process transparent and professional. He readily agreed to the transaction, even mentioning that he would contact us again for any other foreign records he might have in the future.
If you also have idle vinyl records at home, whether you want to upgrade your equipment for cash or simply declutter your space, you are most welcome to contact us!
