- Two albums with vastly different styles in one year cemented Anita Mui's versatile image, and her trendy and avant-garde style pioneered the Hong Kong music scene. The success of these two albums made the then twenty-two-year-old Anita Mui an undisputed recipient of the "Most Popular Female Singer" award at the 1985 Top Ten Chinese Gold Songs Awards, thus beginning her five consecutive victories.
- If Anita Mui in 1985's "Bad Girl" was a young girl stirrings in love, then in "Anita Mui (Demon Girl)" released in 1986,she transformed into a fiery and mature sexy woman in the world of emotions.
- In 1986,the rising star Anita Mui released her new album "Anita Mui (Demon Girl)". The image of an Arabian woman in "Anita Mui (Demon Girl)" was groundbreaking, with a mysterious blue night sky and a crescent moon, exuding charm and allure, perfectly complementing her cool and aloof temperament. This album featured a significant increase in upbeat songs, catering to the trend among young people in Hong Kong at the time.
- The original singer of "Demon Girl" was Ann Lewis,a beautiful Japanese singer who was immensely popular in the 1980s. The lyrics by Lam Chun-keung perfectly matched the image Liu Pui-kei created for Anita Mui. In the music video,Anita Mui wore a black veil, transforming into an exotic Persian demoness, with exaggerated gold eyeshadow and thick brows, bold and provocative lyrics, hot and energetic dance moves, and Anita Mui's passionate performance, successfully creating a "demonic and wild" image.
- The original song of "Split the Iceberg" was "In The Heat of The Night," sung by German singer Sandra. "Split the Iceberg" had lyrics by Li Peter, and unlike the original's sexy and coquettish style,Anita Mui sang it with the powerful aura of a queen. This song was another interpretation of Anita Mui's personality and attitude, with the accompanying male vocals provided by Andy Hui,who had just emerged in the 5th New Talent Singing Awards.
- "Woman in a Scandal" was written by Lam Chun-keung,who used bold lyrics to create a unique image of a new era woman tailored for Anita Mui. This song continued the creative style of "Bad Girl" and "Demon Girl," portraying female desires through song and expressing the new attitude of contemporary women. "Woman in a Scandal" reflected Lam Chun-keung's creative approach of "actively discussing love and sex from a female perspective, allowing women to write based on their own feelings." His bold lyrics discussing gender relations influenced later lyricists such as Wyman Wong,Chow Yiu-fai,and Chau Lai-mau.
- Songs on the album like "Come to Stardust Harbor," "My Love," and "Woman in a Scandal" were all adapted from Masahiko Kondo's works. His transnational romance with Anita Mui caused a stir at the time but ultimately ended in separation.
- "Love Once Foolishly" is the theme song for the movie "One Husband Too Many," starring Anita Mui. The composer was Wong Leung-sing of the Blue Jeans band. The lyrics "Let me / just let me love once foolishly" were a true cry from Anita Mui's heart.
- "Bad Girl" and "Demon Girl" shaped Anita Mui's early avant-garde and rebellious image. Subsequent albums like "Tango," "Flaming Red Lips," and "Lady" further developed these avant-garde female images, serving as variations and continuations of "Bad Girl" and "Demon Girl."
- With her exquisite singing skills combined with ever-changing costumes and styles, and her rebellious,sexy,avant-garde,and versatile style,Anita Mui pioneered "packaging" in the Hong Kong music scene and was hailed as the "Queen of Versatility."
- In 1990,Anita Mui made a major decision, announcing that she would no longer accept any music awards to support new talent and give them more opportunities to participate in the fierce competition of the music industry.
