"Professional Appraisal""Prophecy of Dreams" Vinyl Record Version and Collection Value Guide
To help collectors and sellers better understand the true value of their records,we have listed the key points for appraising the first pressing of Terence Choi's "Prophecy of Dreams" vinyl record. The completeness and version of the record directly impact the final price for high-value second-hand Vinyl Record Buyback:
| Collection Appraisal Points | Specific Feature Description | Impact on Second-Hand Resale Price |
| First Pressing Characteristics (Matrix) | The matrix number in the runout groove is crucial for identifying a first pressing. Early pressings retain the most complete groove details, offering the best dynamic range and soundstage. | 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 (First pressings in excellent condition command the highest cash resale price) |
| Original Inserts (Insert/Poster) | Whether original lyric sheets, posters,or obi strips (if any) are included. Paper inserts for 80s old records are often lost or damaged due to humid climates. | 🌟🌟🌟🌟 (Complete sets with all inserts intact command a very high collector's premium) |
| Sleeve Condition (Cover Art) | Absence of noticeable ring wear, water damage, seam splits,or fading on the album cover. | 🌟🌟🌟 (Sleeves that are like new, with no writing or stamps, significantly increase the purchase price of old records) |
| Record Label and Country of Origin | Locally pressed Hong Kong versions or releases from other regions during the same period. Different labels' vinyl materials and pressing techniques affect surface noise performance. | 🌟🌟🌟 (Specific high-quality pressing versions are in high demand in the market) |
