Sell CDs,including Alan Tam's "Continue the Romance" (T 113 01 with a transparent vinyl ring)

Alan Tam's influence in the mid-1980s was unparalleled, and this "Keep On Romance" compilation album is not just a collection of classic hits, but also a crucial work that cemented his status as a "King of Pop." For seasoned record collectors, different versions of this album (such as the T113 01 transparent inner ring version you hold) differ vastly in sound fidelity and rarity compared to later reissues.

Why is the "T113 01 transparent inner ring version" the most collectible.

In the early days of CD development,South Korea's T113 pressing plant was renowned for its excellent molding technology and high-purity materials. Early versions (especially those with a transparent inner ring) are considered to be closest to the master tape sound quality, boasting a wide dynamic range and warm vocals.

In-depth Album Analysis: A Timeless Romantic Classic

This album features several heavyweight tracks that helped Alan Tam sweep music awards, with each song representing the golden age of Hong Kong pop music:

• "Love's Substitute" and "Love Is So Sweet": showcase the purest infectiousness of Tam's love songs, considered "confession anthems" by countless fans.
• "Who Can Change": a masterpiece among TV drama theme songs, fully expressing feelings of loneliness and helplessness.
• "Lorelei the Storm Goddess": features dynamic arrangements, foreshadowing Alan Tam's breakthrough in up-tempo songs.

Expert Collection Advice: How to Assess the Value of Your Old Records.

If you plan to sell your precious collection, the following details will directly impact the final assessment for high-value cash record buyback:

1. Disc Condition: Are there noticeable scratches. Is there a crack in the transparent inner ring.
2. Mold Spots and Oxidation: Long-term storage in humid environments can lead to disc oxidation (colloquially known as "skipping"),which reduces the buyback value.
3. Printed Inserts: Is the original lyric booklet yellowed, damaged,or stuck together.
4. Version Uniqueness: As mentioned above, the T113 first press has a much higher market value than ordinary silver ring or later versions.

For those looking for Hong Kong old CD buyback, the completeness of such classic compilation albums (including lyric booklets, obi strips, and original CD cases) is a critical factor in determining the Alan Tam CD buyback price.
