Reference for Valuation Standards of Out-of-Print Gold Discs and Second-Hand CDs
To help customers better understand our buyback process and pricing criteria, below is a reference table for our rare CD appraisal and vinyl record condition grading. The better the condition and the more complete the accessories, the higher the buyback price will naturally be.
| Assessment Item | Specific Condition Description | Impact on buyback Value (Second-hand Record Valuation Standard) |
| Disc Surface Condition | No scratches,no mold,no oxidation or peeling of the gold disc coating. | Highest Value: Out-of-print gold discs in perfect condition are highly collectible and can fetch the highest buyback price. |
| Minor hairline scratches or signs of use,but not affecting normal playback. | Medium-High Value: Price adjusted based on the rarity of the record itself (e.g.,early T113 version, silver ring version). | |
| Obvious scratches, skipping,or severe oxidation (light visible through the edges). | Lower Value/Rejected: Records that severely affect sound quality have lower buyback value. | |
| Completeness of Packaging and Accessories | Original OBI strip, lyric booklet, original jewel case, and poster complete and undamaged. | Extremely High Added Value: OBI strips and original lyrics are highly valued by experienced record collectors. |
| Missing OBI strip, but lyric booklet and outer box are well-preserved,without water stains or yellowing. | Standard Value: Aligns with the general market price for second-hand records. | |
| Lyric booklet lost, damaged, defaced,or non-original cover. | Value Reduction: Missing accessories significantly lower the overall collection and buyback price. | |
| Pressing Version and Batch | Early first pressings, limited numbered editions, special materials (e.g.,24K gold disc,SACD,XRCD). | Key High-Value buyback Targets: Best sound quality, extremely high market demand, highest potential for preservation and appreciation in value. |
| Later reissues, standard jewel case versions. | Stable Value: Higher market circulation, priced according to standard second-hand CD Buyback rates. |
