Full item description
In the Hong Kong second-hand vinyl record market, white label / promo copy vinyl records have always been highly sought after by seasoned vinyl enthusiasts and collectors. White label records are typically non-commercial pressings produced by record companies specifically for radio DJs to preview, music critics to review,or for internal assessment before the official mass production and release of an album. Due to their extremely limited print runs, and the fact that this particular "Ai Dao Fa Shao" record includes three different remix versions that perfectly showcase the music production standards of the golden age of Cantonese pop in the 1980s,its historical significance and value as a collectible out-of-print vinyl record far exceed that of regular retail versions.
"Ai Dao Fa Shao" Vinyl Record Versions and Collection Value Reference
| Record Version Type | Production Characteristics & Rarity | Collection Value & Market Demand |
| White Label / Promotional Copy | Extremely limited pressing quantities, usually pressed from the first master plates, offering sound quality closest to the original master tape with a wide dynamic range and the most complete retention of details. | ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ (Extremely High) The ultimate goal for seasoned collectors and audiophiles, with extremely low market circulation,a key target for top cashd buyback of 80s Cantonese pop vinyl. |
| First Pressing | The first batch of officially released records, excellent sound quality, with sleeves and inner pages often featuring unique first-press markings or bonus posters. | ⭐⭐⭐⭐ (High) High market demand, with stable appreciation potential and second-hand vinyl record resale value. |
| Standard Retail Version / Reissue | Versions subsequently pressed based on market demand, more numerous, and sound quality may have slight differences from the first pressing due to master plate wear. | ⭐⭐⭐ (Medium) Suitable for beginners in vinyl appreciation, resale price depends on the record's condition. |
