Full item description
Released in 1988,"Summer Romance" is one of Hacken Lee's most iconic albums from his Polygram era. This record not only helped him stand out in the highly competitive Hong Kong music scene at the time but also laid the foundation for his "CD Hacken" reputation for flawless vocal performance. For vinyl collectors, this album is more than just a musical vessel; it's a cultural microcosm of the peak of 80s pop music.
The album's title track,"Summer Romance," is an adaptation of a work by the Japanese group Anzen Chitai, combining dynamic rhythms perfectly with Hacken Lee's clear vocals. Another iconic track,"City Hall Concert Hall," with its poignant lyrics and classical orchestral arrangement, became a timeless classic of Cantonese music.
