Full item description
As an irreplaceable legend in the Chinese music scene,Leslie Cheung's (Gor Gor) musical works still hold immense listening and market collection value. This album,"Cherished in My Heart" (including classic film and television or music project versions related to Anita Yuen),not only features many popular and out-of-print Cantonese songs like "Nung Ban Duo Ching" and "For Your Heart Only," but its early physical releases are also treasured items sought after by audiophiles and seasoned collectors alike.
For many collectors of early pop music CDs,understanding the true market value of their records is crucial. With years of experience in appraising second-hand Hong Kong pop music records,we have compiled the following professional appraisal and buyback guide for you.
Key Factors Affecting Leslie Cheung CD Resale Prices (Version and Pressing Characteristics)
In the market for out-of-print Cantonese CD buyback, the "version" is the core determinant of price. Different pressing batches of the same album can vary several-fold in market value. Below are the primary physical record characteristics we consider when authenticating early Leslie Cheung albums:
| Assessment Item | High Collection Value Features (Key for top cash prices) | Version Description and Authentication Details |
| Matrix/Origin | Korean T113,Japanese Sanyo,Denon pressing | Early Hong Kong original CDs were often pressed in Japan or Korea. First or early batches with markings like "T113-01" or "T113-02" offer excellent dynamic range in sound quality, making them audiophile favorites and commanding the highest Leslie Cheung CD resale prices. |
| Disc Surface Craftsmanship | Silver ring first pressing without text, plastic ring version | "Silver ring" versions (where the entire inner ring of the CD is silver with no transparent plastic) typically represent the earliest pressings and are rare. If it's a pure silver ring first pressing without an IFPI code,it's considered a top-tier item for top cash prices of old records. |
| IFPI Code | No IFPI code (issued before 1994) | CDs produced after 1994 fully implemented IFPI anti-piracy codes. Early versions without IFPI codes have a greater sense of age and are an important basis for seasoned collectors to determine the "authenticity of a first pressing." |
| Packaging and Accessories | Complete OBI strip and original lyric booklet | With the original OBI strip from the time of release, and the lyric booklet is free of water stains, damage,or dog-ears. The more complete the accessories, the greater the premium for valuing second-hand physical records. |
