Expert Advice: How to properly store vinyl records to maintain high resale value.
If you have other treasured collectibles that you plan to sell later, proper storage can significantly lock in their market value:
- Store Vertically: Never stack vinyl records horizontally,as this can cause them to warp due to gravity, severely affecting playback and resale value.
- Control Temperature and Humidity: Avoid direct sunlight and humid environments. It is recommended to store records in a cool, dry place to prevent mildew on sleeves and deterioration of the disc surface.
- Use Anti-Static Inner Sleeves: Replace original rough paper inner sleeves with anti-static film inner sleeves to reduce tiny scratches caused during handling.
