About "Every Step" Picture Disc: A Precious Mark of 80s Hong Kong Pop Music
Paula Tsui's "Every Step" is itself an important work of 80s Hong Kong Cantonese pop. Its release as a Picture Disc was also a demonstration of the record industry's craftsmanship at the time. Compared to traditional black vinyl, the picture disc perfectly combined Paula Tsui's classic stage image with visual art during the pressing process. Released in limited quantities, decades later,it has become a prized possession for Hong Kong out-of-print vinyl collectors. The album includes "Behind the Wedding Dress" (theme song for the TV series "The Feud of Two Brothers") and the title track "Every Step," both of which remain highly culturally valuable classic Cantonese vinyl records.
