Introduction: Priscilla Chan's white label single "Joe Le Taxi" is one of her classic songs. This version was released as a special edition in white vinyl format. The song was released in 1985,marking Chan's breakthrough and success in the pop music scene.
"Joe Le Taxi" is a lively, rhythmic song that showcases her charm and musical talent with its cheerful beat and Chan's unique voice. The lyrics of this song tell the story of a taxi driver named Joe,expressing a pursuit of freedom and an adventurous spirit. Full of youthful vitality and playfulness, the song became one of the popular songs loved by young people at the time.
The white label special edition adds unique collection value and aesthetic appeal to "Joe Le Taxi". The white vinyl visually presents a sense of simplicity and purity, while also echoing the song's lighthearted rhythm and sunny atmosphere. This makes this version of the single a valuable collectible sought after by fans and music collectors.
The release of the "Joe Le Taxi" white label single earned Priscilla Chan a wider audience and greater recognition, making her one of the important representatives of the Chinese pop music scene. This song not only achieved success in Hong Kong but also gained widespread recognition globally, becoming one of Priscilla Chan's representative works.
In the 80s Hong Kong music scene, the "White Label" was a non-commercial item specifically distributed to radio DJs and music critics for preview. Compared to the officially released commercial version,Priscilla Chan's "Joe Le Taxi" white label single is considered a rare "holy grail" by experienced vinyl collectors due to its extremely limited circulation.

Why is this white label record so sought after in the buyback market.
- Unique Arrangement Charm: Priscilla Chan's cover of the famous French singer Vanessa Paradis's song incorporates unique 80s Hong Kong pop electronic elements. White label records often present the most original soundstage, without much post-production compression, making them the top choice for audiophiles seeking ultimate listening experience.
- A Testament to Priscilla Chan's Peak Era: During the "Autumn" album period in 1988,Priscilla Chan's voice was in its golden stage. This single marks a pivotal moment in her transformation from a teen idol to a powerful diva.
- Market Scarcity: Since white label records were not for sale back then, the number of well-preserved copies circulating today is extremely limited. With the recent vinyl revival, prices for high-quality Cantonese white label records continue to rise.
