How to Properly Store Your Vinyl and CDs to Maintain High Resale Value.
If you currently have no intention of selling your cherished collection,we recommend storing it properly using the following methods to ensure you get the best profit when buying and selling audio equipment and audiophile records in the future:
- Store Vertically: Vinyl records should never be stacked flat. They should be arranged vertically like books to prevent warping from pressure.
- Control Temperature and Humidity: Taiwan/Hong Kong's climate is humid. It is recommended to store records in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and heat sources. Use a dehumidifier if necessary to prevent mold on records or yellowing of covers.
- Replace Inner Sleeves: Replace the original paper inner sleeves, which easily generate static, with anti-static semi-circular PE plastic inner sleeves. This effectively reduces dust accumulation and scratches when pulling records out.
