🔍 Key Identification Points for First Pressing Vinyl of "Love Trap"
There are numerous used record versions on the market, and whether a record is a "first pressing" or "early pressing" directly affects its resale price. Below are the core focus points for professional appraisal:
| Identification Feature | Key Points for Recognition |
| Matrix Number | First pressings usually have specific master disc numbers (such as T1,A/B,etc.) etched in the run-out groove (the blank space on the inner rim of the record),which is the most accurate basis for determining the pressing batch. |
| Sleeve Printing and Material | Early Hong Kong original sleeves released by PolyGram typically feature thicker paper, high color saturation, and clear,non-pixelated printing of Alan Tam's portrait. |
| Included Inserts | A complete original version must include the original lyric sheet. If it comes with a period promotional poster or obi strip (if applicable),the more complete the accessories, the significantly higher the resale value of the used vinyl record. |
| Label Design | Carefully check the layout of the PolyGram logo, the shade of the red and blue labels, and whether the copyright year indicated is 1985. |
