"Love in a Small Village: A Predestined Fate" is Teresa Teng's second album released by Kolin Records in 1977. The album cover design is unique and full of strong Taiwanese local style. The album includes Kolin Records exclusive song "Following the Rainbow," a cover of Fong Fei-fei's classic song by Teresa Teng.

Kolin Records' versions of the albums were not imported from PolyGram. As a Taiwanese distributor that shared master tapes with PolyGram, Kolin not only possessed some exclusive recordings that PolyGram didn't have, but also presented different sonic effects. For Teresa Teng's PolyGram recordings, Kolin used separate master tapes for accompaniment and vocals to mix and produce the recordings themselves. In the resulting vinyl record, the vocals are louder than the accompaniment, and the soundstage is significantly different from PolyGram's. This unprocessed, raw vocal performance paired with the accompaniment allows listeners to hear Teresa Teng's most authentic voice.

The song "Following the Rainbow" on the album is an exclusive recording by Kolin Records, recorded by Teresa Teng in Taiwan. This recording was used in the 1977 television special "Teresa Teng Time" produced by Taiwan Television. When recording this song, Teresa Teng used the original instrumental version by Fong Fei-fei directly, without altering the melody or rhythm. This is a very rare and exquisite piece, a joint interpretation by two late divas.
