💿 "Sam Hui's Movie Hits + 18 Selections (2 CD)": A Historical Testament and Collectible from the Cantonese Pop Music Scene
As the "God of Songs," Sam Hui's music pioneered Hong Kong's Cantonese pop music scene. His movie soundtracks are also a collective memory that accompanied countless people growing up. This "Sam Hui's Movie Hits + 18 Selections (2 CD)" perfectly combines the essential soundtracks from classic Hui Brothers comedy films (such as "Games Gamblers Play," "The Last Message," etc.) with his 18 most popular golden hits from his personal performing career.
In the used record market, these types of old edition double CD compilations often command high resale value for out-of-print physical records due to their comprehensive tracklists and uncompressed sound quality (high dynamic range, highly favored by Hi-Fi audiophiles). If you have a spare set of this album, understanding its version and condition will help you get a better top cashd CD Buyback quote.
🔍 Sam Hui Old Edition CD Version Authentication and Used Market Price Guide
Different release years and pressing plants directly affect a CD's sound quality and collectible value. Below are the version assessment references we commonly use for such classic albums when professionally authenticating used Cantonese song CDs:
| Version Characteristics | Approximate Release Period | Pressing/Mould Code Identification (Key Authentication Points) | Sound Performance and Audiophile Reviews | Collectible Value and buyback Demand |
| Early Korean T113 / Japanese Edition | Late 80s to early 90s | "T113" often seen in the inner ring or Japanese Sanyo pressing,no IFPI code | Very analog sound, rich and natural vocals,no digital harshness | ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ (Extremely high, rare in market, target for top cashd buyback) |
| Local Early Silver Ring / Plastic Ring Edition | Mid-early 90s | Disc center is all silver or has a transparent plastic ring, some early batches lack IFPI codes | Clear sound, full detail retention, authentic sound of the era | ⭐⭐⭐⭐ (High, favored by collectors, top cash prices) |
| Later Reissue / Remastered Edition | After 2000 | Inner ring of disc center must have an IFPI code (e.g.,IFPI Lxxx),barcode area usually has reissue markings | Modern digital remastering, cleaner sound but flatter dynamics | ⭐⭐⭐ (Medium, high circulation, has basic used CD Buyback price) |
