"I Regret Falling in Love with You / Countless Words" Vinyl Record Version and Authentication Features
If you happen to have this record at home but are unsure of its value, you can use the following professional first-pressing vinyl record features for initial authentication. Different versions and pressing plants will directly affect the resale price of used vinyl records:
| Inspection Item | Key Features of Early/Rare Editions | Impact on Resale Valuation |
| Record Sleeve | Printed on early thick cardboard, with high color saturation and clear,non-blurry text edges; sleeve corners are free from severe damage or water stains. | Sleeve completeness accounts for 30%-40% of the overall valuation. The value is higher if it comes with the original shrink wrap or promotional stickers. |
| Label | Label paper is free from bubbles and fading. Early versions of record company logos and font layouts have specific period characteristics (e.g.,specific two-color printing). | Key to identifying the pressing year. First-pressing labels usually fetch the highest top cash appraisal rates. |
| Matrix/Runout | Located in the blank space between the record's center label and the last track, engraved with the original pressing master number (Matrix / Runout). | This is the most crucial evidence for confirming whether it is a first pressing or a specific audiophile pressing, directly determining the record's rarity. |
| Inserts | Includes original lyric sheets, promotional posters,or small photo cards of Teresa Teng, with natural yellowing but no damage to the paper. | Complete sets of Teresa Teng vinyl records are valued much higher than single discs. |
